The next stop for the S.C.O.R.A Sprint car series is Flora Illinois own, “Clay County Speedway”. This will be round 2 of our 18 race schedule for the 2009 inaugural season. Craig Budde will be using the momentum that he received from his feature win at Charleston Speedway where he dominated the field for the S.C.O.R.A Sprint Car Series opener back on May 9. He will be trying to make it 2 in a row this Saturday night May 23 but he’ll have hold off the hard charger JT Stapp and the Terre Haute native Dusty Wright and the rest of the S.C.O.R.A regulars as they to are looking for their first S.C.O.R.A victory of this young 2009 season. We look forward to seeing all the S.C.O.R.A stars in action this weekend at the CLAY COUNTY SPEEDWAY!!!!

Clay County Speedway, Flora, Illinois is gearing up for a big night with the SCORA Sprint Car Series. After the first night at Charleston the SCORA points race is tight. Craig Budde has 91 points and JT Stapp at 88 and Dusty Wright at 87, Ray Kenes at 83. Two rookies at this time are Alex Pettas from Arizona, now living in Santa Claus, Indiana has 70 points and Joe Varvel of Rosedale, Indiana has 68. It will be interesting to see how things shake out Saturday night. This will be the first race of five at Flora. There will be a race a month. The weekend after Flora will be a two night deal, with Kankakee County Speedway on Friday and Kamp Motor Speedway on Saturday. See you at the races.
