The Seymour name in auto racing began in 1965 when car owner Boston Louie Seymour purchased a champ dirt car to compete in the United States Auto Club series.
His success in this series as well the USAC sprint series and later on in Nema midgets, landed him in the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville Iowa. Joined by his two sons, Mike and Bobby, Boston Louie would earn national titles and enjoy over 100 wins in USAC Silver Crown, Sprint Cars and midgets.
