Last weeks show and it's conversation about the Silver Crown series got Jaryd thinking and he came up with this blog post giving his ideal situation for our beloved championship cars.

Do you have any thoughts on the current state of Silver Crown? How about real or fantastical ideas on how to bring glory back to the series? Would love to hear them

Two 30 lap heats, split field Odd Even

Lineup feature on Passing points 80 laps./Miles. Must start feature on tire you heat race.

I know traditionalist won't like the idea but if people are going to watch
1 race with little passing, They are going to Nascar.

It makes me shake my head when people talk about the purse structure for the SC series. You expect them to pay more than a WOO sprint car show, and the WOO series are the most popular series currently on the road. For most dirt track fans, SC cars come after Winged Sprint cars, Non Wing sprint cars, midgets, late models and even USMTS mods. You can't pay the best, when you draw the worst.

There is a reason why there are so many modified specials through out the country. The reason is that the promoter can make a profit. If SC were profitable, promoters would book them.

How about more AJ Watson hoods. Reduce Hp. Go back
to the skinny tires. Just a few thoughts.
Best Regards,
John
