Like many previous threads - we would like to thank the Kokomo Speedway for their part in three wonderful nights of racing! It was a great weekend with only one complaint...the use of fireworks in the camping area during the night. We understand that some people like to party throughout the night and thankfully they clearly display a flag so that those of us that wish to sleep may park far enough away to not be bothered. However, setting off fireworks at all hours of the night is discourteous to fellow campers. In addition to disrupting human campers, I cannot imagine that our dog is the only one that is completely terrified by the noise. We are not the only fans who rarely go to Gas City because of similar experiences. It would be sad if a few people cause the same thing to happen at Kokomo - especially at an event like Smackdown where attendance is a vital part of its success.

PS - We are not old fuddy duddies - just like to get a good night's sleep before the 5 hour drive home

The fireworks were from Wayne the crazy Aussie. He was fascinated he could buy and set them off. Can't blame The Frolic for the fireworks this time.

And there is a campground 5 miles from the speedway if you need lights out by 11.

I have plenty of Aussie friends, and have had a lot of the local fans ask me if my other Australian friends are like Wayne, and I have to tell them Wayne is the exception there!!
