They were just talking to Sarah on the Indy car coverage and she said the sponsor fell through and they are scraping together every dime they have to get the team off the ground and right now they are out of money.
She talked about how a fan sent her a check for $100 just to help out where he could and how fans of hers that have supported her through out her entire carrer are dropping off $5, $10 or $20 just help try to get her in this field. Sarah also said they are thinking about doing some type of tribute on the rear wing to thank everyone that keeps supporting her http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dl.../1052/SPORTS01 |

I'm glad to see that some Indy traditions are still in tact.
"Sure we'll sponsor you, get the logo's on the car and we'll have the press conference. Afterward we'll get you the check" There was a real nice guy who hung around the speedway that owned cars from time to time. As he got older, his health wasn't good, but he wanted to be part of it. He would tell guys that they were going to do a deal. He always said:"I'll get you a check in the mail. Start getting a car ready". He of course never did get the check in the mail, but he always said it was. Anytime we talk about him we just refer to him as "Check is in the mail". I feel for any team that has already come this far. I hope she gets a deal put together. |

Not to mention the fact that there are hats, shirts and even one of those kick butt greenlight diecast cars for sale with the sponsor's name on them. Kind of a bunch of free advertising for the sponsor that never paid a penny.
Sarah broke the cardinal rule though. A guy I worked for several years ago told me, NEVER put a sponsor's name on the car until the money is in the bank. I like Sarah and hope someone steps up and I bet she never makes that mistake again. p.s. I don't think I'll ever be drinking "Res-Q" energy water in the future.:moon: David. |

If no one comes through and gets their name on the car and Sarah still makes the field I would love to see a Claber Girl or a First National Bank of Terre Haute Sponsorship |

With only 10 shake down laps on the new car and 6 practice laps the other day and 16 practice laps today Sarah finished practice at 14th quick for the day. She said in her interview that she firmly belives she can put it in the race tommorrow
She said every little bit helps and she is taking what she can get I wonder how much it would cost to get a small IOW logo and a Midget Madness Logo with the words "Get Well Marty and Bill" written underneith it. And Maybe since she does drive for herself and is not under contract anymore she is able to race in midget events maybe Tony Barhost will come up with alittle bit of money for a small logo and autograph session and competing in one of the 4 rumble series events this year.....Columbus is not to far from her home It does not have to be a major sponsor to pay the bills if she can get 1000 indiviguals to each put up $100 that would equate to $100,000 I have seen it done before.......put a checkerd board pattern on the sidepods with 1000 squares and sell the squares for $100 a piece. This will allow the average fan to get involved and help her out with being a part of history and people can buy more then one square for bigger logos |

it would probably cost a lot!!! i am looking at photos of her car and "AAA" is not very previlant on the car.....anyone living in indiana has seen the bunch of comercials she has done for them and she is thier major spokesperson......and the logo on the car is about the size of a shoe....
