So, no one needs any help. Fascinating.

Hey Gene-
I'll attack your question.
I would say, as someone with the best interest of the show in mind, that this question might be better fielded sometime in May. Usually, there are some guys who would be great additions to the tour who just can't afford to make the trip. Last year, that would have been someone like Nic Faas or Jeff Bland, Jr.
Obviously, any team will take your money gladly, but it's always good to see someone else make the trip because of help from someone like yourself!

Of course, there's always the option of rewarding the best of the tour and starting your own point fund for the Eastern tour.

Can't wait to see those TBAs filled!! Thanks for the post, Gene...

Gene,

I don't race with USAC nor am I able to come out east but I would like to say thank you to you and others like you who try to help any racer make it from one race to the next.

There are way too many racers that could use help and way too few offering these days so every bit counts.

I am sure someone will take you up on your offer and be very appreciative of the help.

Gene keep us in mind as we would love to come back and race, I think we did alright last year. A little luck and better finances and we may have a shot. The results may not show well but we were so close every night when something silly would happen. Plus it would be nice to see the friends we made along the way, tee shirt sales were unbelievable. Like Kirk said a lot of the teams back here are in a holding pattern right now. No way are we ignoring your offer we just do not know what tomorrow may bring.
Thank you for showing your support as it is very welcome.

Maybe it's because some of the teams are in Florida right now and don't have access to the internet, although "anywhere" access is fairly commonplace these days.

I'd say it is a noble gesture on your part.
