We somehow uncovered footage of his very first race, he had em covered, but a controversial ending took him out of the win.

Happy Birthday Duke, even if you dont like me

Tough break at the end. $50,000 to win, Earl must have been the promoter.

Sorry Chris that WAS NOT Duke's 1st race!
With a little diggin' I did find footage though, and it may have been shot by Dean Mills?

I just got a PM and I have been corrected, Dean Mills DID NOT shoot this race, it was D.O. that got the footage of Duke's first race.

AND if you watch real close in one of the crowds shots, I SAW SHORTBUS IN A FUNKY HAT!

I remember you in a champ dirt car at the 4-Crown at Eldora when I was a kid. I never will forget that because the announcer, Terry Baltes,
said,"Duke Cook a legend in his own mind."

Happy birthday Duke!!
