It has been one helluva year, and wanted to send out a few thanks, well make that alot of thanks!!
First, thanks to All the promoters that support Sprint car racing in Indiana, the best racing on the planet, bar none!! (The Mod shows at the burg have been something else this year though). Also to the promoters that support Sprint car, midget and Champ car racing throughout the country, if I had the time I'd be at everyone of them.
Thanks to all the staff members at these tracks, your job is thankless, so here is a big THANK YOU!!
Thanks to the car owners, drivers, and crews that bust ass all week to go and do what you love doing, alot after working regular jobs during this time, and providing us fans with edge of your seat racing time in and time out!! You are the best!
Thanks to all the fans that support Open Wheel racing!! It has been a rough year economically, but you guys keep showing up. You all realize what I do, that open wheel racing cannot be matched by any other kind of motorsport, and open wheel racing is oozing in tradition, and always will!
And now on a more personnel level, thanks to the friends I have made the last few years, whether it be at L-burg, or any of the other Indiana tracks that I get a chance to visit if we have a down weekend. Or here on the message board. I have always enjoyed the company of ALL of you, you all know who you are.
Thanks to Dyno Don for providing insightful comments here so myself and my friends can have something to laugh about at a race we meet up at. Who knows, maybe someday a weekly show will pay $200,000 to win and $50,000 to start, that way you will undoubtedly be there, providing there are no harleys on the grounds!
To everyone at the burg. First, to our safety crew, Bobby Gomph and Co. You guys take alot of sh*t, but there is nobody I would rather have attending to my needs if I were involved in a "nasty one".
All of our race officials, headed up by Trent and Tory Collins, you guys do one helluva job!
To everyone on the booth, you all are best in my book!
To Rudy, (a.k.a BOZO
) our faithful promoter. Some folks just don't realize some of the crap you gotta go through to put on a show, but you get it done. You are a dear friend. ( It is a wonder we ain't killed one another, but we know we both want the same thing)
To Tim Johnson and the entire Johnson family. You all are very dear to me. Timmy has been like a big brother at times, and you are right about one thing, some folks just ain't gotta clue!!!
Last but not least, thank you to Mel Johnson. You are always with us.
