Looks like there is still some lingering precipitation in the Indianapolis area, but radar seems to be clear after that. I'm trying to psych myself up to make the drive to the Hoosier Hundred, but I keep finding more reasons not to attempt it. Not really looking forward to the seven hours of windshield time with no shotgun rider. Wish this race would move back to the Saturday after Labor Day the way it was when it was so successful.
Since you brought up the Saturday after Labor Day, it is also the day of the iconic late model race at Eldora, the world 100. Some friends of mine who are big LM fans still bristle when I bring up how Earl used to hold up the show so Hewitt get there after the Hoosier Hundred to compete. I'm like "hey, that's Eldora's favorite son, he deserves special treatment" They never agreed with me
