Interesting question my dad and I were talking about over the holidays and this new dirt track in Fort Wayne.

Could dust be an issue considering the dirt track will be located just a few hundred feet away from the runway of an international airport? I know it's not the busiest airport by any stretch but was just curious.

It may not be that dusty if they stick to their plan of running on Saturday nights. Lots of competition on Saturday's already, so throwing in another track might create a struggle for cars. Montpelier, Plymouth, Eldora, Waynesfield, Butler, and Oakshade all have regular competitors from the Fort Wayne area. I've seen many racers from the area recommending to the promoter on FB to run Friday nights instead, but they are very defensive about it. They could easily fill the void left by Gas City.

In a word...

YES!!!

Be it water, smoke, or dust...airport (and the Guard) gets VERY pissy about anything going over their fenceline.
