The Badger Midget Auto Racing Association completed its 80th season of sanctioning Midget racing in 2016. Below are some of the stats from the season.

The BMARA scheduled 18 events in 2016. Of the 18 events four were washed out by rain. One event was washed out after the completion of heat races, therefore, 13 feature events took place. Races were held in three different states including Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. A total of 51 different drivers competed with the BMARA in 2016. Six different drivers visited victory lane with three of those visiting more than once. Three different engine manufacturers earned victories with each of them earning at least two victories. The high car count for the BMARA was 28 cars at the Rockford Speedway in Rockford, IL with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars during the Outlaw Clay Classic. Brandon Waelti took home the championship with 11 top 5 finishes, 11 top 10 finishes and 5 feature event victories.
