Thanks to BC for taking time before getting in the car to take a picture with our 19 month old grandson on pit road.

What a wonderful racing experience for us short track open wheel fans to have Clauson at the 500. To have a short track open wheel driver who we see at our local track on a regular basis is amazing. When I started watchin g races at Winchester and Dayton after WWII, it was common to see the hero's of the 500 at those tracks. We must thank the Byrd's for making this possible. Also a shout out to other open wheel stars at the 500 this year, driver Ed Carpenter and pace car drive Sarah Fisher.

WITZ FM104.7 radio in Jasper does frequent reports from the Speedway, and they broadcast an interview with Bryan this morning at around 11:30AM (CDT). It was mentioned that he drove midgets and sprints at Salem, and Bryan said that must mean he is old!
