3 POINT CRA SEPARATION FOR SPENCER, GARDNER SAT. AT PERRIS

Damion Gardner and Mike Spencer continue to battle for supremacy in the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car series, which resumes this Saturday night at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

Gardner leads in terms of all-time race wins at the PAS (34-25 over Spencer), all-time Perris races led (46-45 over Spencer) and all-time laps led (795-715 over Spencer) but Spencer has five series titles compared to Gardner’s three.

Gardner trails Spencer by just three points in the latest standings as he searches for a repeat title and his fourth all-time.

Gardner and Richard Vander Weerd have each scored three wins at Perris this year. *Vander Weerd ranks third in the standings, just 47 points behind Spencer, and is ready to pounce if the two leaders falter.
