The two off weeks are over at Bloomington Speedway and racing will take place this Friday evening!

The Midwest Sprint Car Series will return to the red clay oval for the IU Surplus Summer Doubler as drivers will race to win $3,000. Racing will be the MSCS, modifieds, super stocks, hornets and RaceSaver sprints.

Below are the information for this week's event:

- Thursday, Aug. 13 the gates will open at 5 p.m. in order to reserve parking and seating locations.
- Friday, Aug. 14 pit gate will open at 4:30 p.m. and general admission gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
- Ride in your motorcycle to the North gate entrance and receive $5 off your's and passenger's admission. Park at the shelter at the top of the hill.
- GA price is $20 and Pit admission is $30.
- Kids 12 and under are FREE with a paying adult.
- Hot Laps begin at approximately 6:40 p.m.
- Racing begins at 7:30 p.m.

RACE DAY at Bloomington Speedway for the IU Surplus​ Summer Doubler!

The Midwest Sprint Car Series​ return to the quarter-mile ready to sling some red clay. Brady Short won when MSCS last came to town on May 22.

Drivers will race tonight at 7:30 p.m. in hopes of capturing the $3,000 to win! Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for general admission for $20, or you can enter the pit area for $30.

REMINDER: Motorcycles ride-ins (and passenger) will receive $5 off admission to tonight's event when they enter from the north gate entrance.

I aim to bring a mystery guest this evening. I only share this to alert the security folks at Bloomington.

The guest is supposed to wear an ankle bracelet, but claims his wife sold it on eBay. He also claims that HE and he alone will consume the entire ice cream supply that the Bloomington concession stand has on hand.

Chris Judah, if you have a spare chain with a lock and key, please bring it.

Everything else sounds OK, but that part about consuming the ice cream supply could lead to big trouble.

I heard Jen is ready to defend her ice cream, plus have heard she has a pretty mean left hook

I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to deprive Jen of her ice cream.

If it comes out in a Twist the next day, You know you ate to much Ice Cream.
