The Mel Kenyon Midget Series returns to US 24 Speedway this Saturday night. The action on the dirt bull ring is always unpredictable when the Kenyon Midgets take to the track.

Six different drivers have won at US 24 with Dameron Taylor and Kent Kriegbaum each scoring two victories. They are the only two previous US 24 winners entered in the 30-lap event.

The semi-banked dirt oval always features a surprise of two when the Mel Kenyon Midget Series races. Several drivers to watch are Ashlea Albertson, Clayton Gaines and Logan Hugger. Albertson has been a regular heat race winner and could earn her break through feature win any week. Gaines and Huggler have both broken into the win column on the pavement tracks and have yet to score on the dirt.

The field will be opened up somewhat with Kyle O’Gara committed to another event. O’Gara leads the Mel Kenyon Midget Series drivers with 5 feature wins in 2015. Chase Jones will sub for O’Gara.

Taylor continues to lead the point battle with Huggler taking the second slot, followed by Albertson, O’Gara and Ryan Huggler.
