It is with regret Bloomington Speedway must cancel tonight's June 19 program due to tropical storm Bill's effects.

We are in the racing business and unless we have a sponsor-named dome over the property or raced motocross bikes we are unable to control weather. The facility received 1.2 inches of rain overnight with plenty more on its way.

We hope you can join us for one of Bloomington Speedway's historical events next week: The Sheldon Kinser Memorial. It will pay $3,000 to win the ServPro sprint car feature and draw some of the best drivers to sit in the 410 sprints. Last year's winner was Dave Darland in the No. 71P of Phillips Motorsports.

Also on the racing schedule will be the Rick's Automotive Modifieds, Kinser-AirFilers.com RaceSaver Sprints, Chad's LLC Hornets and Bloomington Speedway Super Stocks.

Gates will open at 4:30 p.m at the pit gate and 5:30 p.m. for General Admission. GA will cost $20 and pits will be $30.

Have an enjoyable weekend, and we look forward to providing a great experience for you at our upcoming events!

As always, you can find updated information or posts about Bloomington Speedway on our Facebook or Twitter accounts.
