CHAMP GARDNER TAKES “COPPER ON DIRT” FINALE AT TUCSON

Tucson, AZ……..AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car Champion Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. won Saturday night’s 30-lap finale at the 8th “Copper on Dirt” at USA Raceway. Wheeling the Mark Alexander Scott Sales Company/J & D Performance Spike, Gardner wrestled the lead from Dave Darland on lap 15 and led the final 16 laps for the victory, his record 58th in USAC/CRA competition. AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car king Brady Bacon took second ahead of fast qualifier Mike Spencer, Matt Mitchell and Charles Davis Jr. as Darland finished sixth.
