Seen on the Jacksonville (IL ) Speedway Facebook page the All Star Sprints could have a new owner possibly as early as today. Anyone know more about this?

A possible announcement coming soon on this if Guy Webb excepts the offer form a potential serious buyer.

Heard the same thing. If that's the case it should be interesting to see what comes of this announcement when ever it happens and who the new owner is. The one odd thing would be now you have two series and do they run 2 different series this year and make it one series next year or do you merge now and what happens to all the race dates the currently tracks have.

If Renegades buy Webb out, their are only a few tracks/promoters to switch over.

Outside of the name what does Webb have to sell?

Possibly the sponsorships and dates he still holds.

Renegade doesn't get 5 of the Ohio Sprintweek tracks or Eldora twice without the buyout. In any case, WEBB has to be a silent partner or the drivers won't go for it.

I noticed on the All Stars website, the press release pertaining to the season kicking off in Florida has been re-issued. It now has a 1/18/15 date on it where before it was a mid-December date. The article looks the same to me, though - Bubba's and then Volusia.
