Month of Money Tour 2015 - From Australia

Hoping that somebody can help with the following dilemma.

As per past years, Global Speedway Tours Australia are running our Month of Money Tour in 2015 which has always started with the Brad Doty Classic on the Wednesday before the Kings Royal. The timing always allowed us to get to Lawrenceburg on the Sunday for night 3 of Indiana Sprintweek.

Now that Eldora has announced the Kings Royal is being put back a week to the 17th & 18th July in 2015 it creates some headaches for putting together a cohesive tour schedule.

Whilst there are several questions which relate to winged racing such as will Lernerville's Don Martin Silver Cup and the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove also be put back a week, my real query for this Board is whether anyone has any knowledge of the ISW dates for 2015 as yet?

I'd love to be able to showcase USAC's 410 non winged racing to Aussie fans, if ISW will be run the weekend before the Kings Royal. We'll just come over a week earlier if that is the case.

Or if there is no earlier knowledge on these dates and tracks, when is it expected that USAC will release 2015 schedules?

Thanks .... Peter Physick

Peter, I know Tri-State Speedway's ISW finale is the same night as the King's Royal so I assume L'Burg will be run the previous weekend before the King's Royal. I, too, could hit the King's and then L'Burg on my way home the past few years but it looks like those days are gone. I enjoy the King's but living 10 miles south of Tri-State will make it tough to drive 630 miles round trip to hit Eldora instead. Maybe think about hitting ISW at Terre Haute Wed., Putnamville Thursday and Bloomington Friday and then Sat. at Eldora. I'm assuming the race track sequence is the same as previous years but I'll try to verify that for you and post again. I realize you may have to hit the big wing shows for your patrons but you could base yourself at Indy with all three ISW tracks easy driving distance. Good luck, Peter, and I'll check on those dates for ISW.

Peter, I made a phone call and ISW will be ran the same weeks as last year but Gas City is still a wildcard but there will be racing both weeks. You'd have to check with USAC or with the O'Connor's at Kokomo and/or Dave Rudisell at L'burg to see when they're running specifically. Best wishes to all.

Thanks Tom. Your info is greatly appreciated.

You are correct that Aussie fans who have grown up on a diet of winged racing do want to hit the big winged shows, but at the same time I'm very conscious of showcasing USAC racing to them and there is no better way than ISW.

However time away from home is also important to consider and adding an additional 5 days onto a tour which is already 37 days is too much. Despite the obvious attractions.

If Putnamville do run ISW on Thursday July 16th, then we would fly from Australia into Indy on Tuesday July 14th, watch the Brad Doty at Lima on Wednesday the 15th and then go back to Putnamville before heading across to Eldora for the Friday and Saturday.

Hopefully after that the WoO will run at Lernerville on the Tuesday as always, then hope that Lincoln in PA put on a WoO race on the Thursday and the Summer Nationals are on Fri / Sat at Williams Grove. If so everything can return to "normal", except the timing will mean the group misses the Trucks at Eldora and the Brickyard 400 in 2015.

Any further info you may glean in the future will be greatly appreciated. Booking accommodation is the biggest issue we face in this dilemma.

Pete
