Just wanted to let everyone know, right now there is a very good chance (90%) that Gas City will be running this Friday night and the remainder of the 2014 schedule. Details are still being worked out and as soon as I receive word, I will pass it on as well as post it on Gas City's website.

That's definitely the most positive news we've heard, this week.

What is going on? Why is there 10% chance of not racing?

There are just some details that cannot be completed until Monday or Tuesday.

That is definitely great news! If Gas City does in fact run next Friday I would like everyone here that has the means to think about making it out there to watch.

Not sure if they'd still be running the $4000-to-win sprint car show but this week and the stuff going on concerning the track is a good reminder about what can happen when were more caught up about wanting someone to post updates on IOW than actually going to the track.

Gas City produces great racing and it's really discouraging to see people get on the board and do nothing but complain yet they call themselves "die hard" fans. Get off your couch, load up your kids, wife or girlfriend and head to Gas City. If none of those apply call a friend who has never been to a race before and coax him or her into riding along with you. I'm sure we all want this track to continue racing on Friday so lets all do something to make sure that happens.
