My 6 year old son loves sprint cars, mainly the wingless ones. On that weekend I want to take him to a good one. Any suggestions, I live in Chattanooga, Tn. July 25-27 is the date I am looking for.
On Friday Bloomington Speedway and Saturday Lawrenceburg Speedway on Sunday Kokomo Speedway Bob Darland Memorial. You can't go wrong , wingless sprints all nights. These tracks are supported by many great drivers from around the Midwest. These are three of my favorite tracks in Indiana. Be careful you and your son will get hooked big time on Indiana wingless sprints on dirt. All these tracks have websites check them out.
The recommendation above is good, but it is a lot of miles traveled. I'd be more inclined to do Lincoln Park on Saturday then go the whole way to Larryburg, then the whole way to Kokomo. And remember Kokomo is a must if you're going to Indiana, as it produce racing second to none.
Anyway you look at it, you're in for a great time if you're going to watch traditional sprintcars in their home state.
We went last year to Tri State Speedway for one of the USAC races and fell in love. We were hoping to go to IL somewhere but I know Indiana is where it's at.
