Can not wait for the no way out 40 just want to see what racing teams and racing fans will be coming out to see who will take home the 7500. We wish the best for all the racing teams and fans for a great 2014 season.
after being there last week they have changed the track a bit. they have banked it a little more so the cars aren't running off the track as much on the front and back chute. track got a little choppy but was expected for first night on it.
Went to the Ice breaker last night. Track was rough in 3 and 4. The mods had all 4 off the ground coming off of 4. The heats were locked down choo choo on the bottom. They watered before the B and the track got 2 grooves going early but was choo choo on the bottom again after half way.
I watched the race there the weekend before the Ice Breaker and the track had really deep grooves in turn 1 and 3. They had to go through and grade the track before the mains were ran. Then the late models created it again.
I can't wait to see the sprints run on it and see how it is. I've never been to Brownstown with sprints running.
This is our first trip to Brownstown so a couple quick questions, a good hotel to spend the night, is the program run in a timely manner, are coolers allowed, how is the seating & parking, their food dept.? Thanks in advance.
Cooler policy and "official hotel" are listed on the Brownstown speedway site (14" coolers, no glass. Fairfield Inn in Seymour has "racer's rates"). Seating is fairgrounds "quaint"; covered main grandstand with some sightline obstructions, typical bleachers on either side of main stands. I haven't been for a couple of years but I don't recall the concessions being anything special (i.e. no Kokomo porkchop sandwich or T.H.A.T. ribeye)...
