I believe it was $700 to start $7000 to win but it went to $1000 to start at Eldora. I'm not 100% though. You can check out "Silver Crown from the beginning to today" on Fb. Lots of guys on there who can answer anything you'd want to know.

HA! The smartest owners, I ever worked for, would carefully calculate the equipment, supplies and operational expenses for the season. They would then multiply that number by two. They would also assume that any money, they happened to win, would also be used up running the car.
At the end of the season, when they added everything up, they figured that if they were less than 10% over their budget, they had a purty good year............. Of course, that was back in the day when the payout/expense ratio was much better and stuff wasn't nearly as expensive as now...

You are always up against guys who are willing to spend ten thousand dollars to win one thousand.......

The payout is listed on the Entry Form for each event.

I'd do as Cowboy said, call USAC.

Not true, I promise u a nice piece race ready can be bought right now for 12 to 25k and if u stay within a budget u can run for under 2k a show or possibly less as you build a tire reserve and fuel reserve, im sure some will disagree but ive been to shows where i spent less and some where I spent considerably more, most always at my discretion

Actually, according to USAC's website for membership, a driver's license is $500, an owner's license is $500, and each crew member is $150. So unless you are buying memberships for 10 crew members, $2500 is a little on the heavy side.
