I was just wondering. They spent a boat load of money to make a great track, new grandstands and other improvements.

That being said.

Why did they not build some sort of scoring tower that would show lap times and maybe the first 5 or so positions?

The new facilities are nice the way they are but we are not finished yet. Rome was'nt built in a day and neither is the New Lawrenceburg Speedway. Look for exciting improvements over the summer and beyond. For example: Scoreboard, Pit restrooms, Winners circle with more lighting and checkered board walls and flooring, more pit parking and much much more.
Thanks, Dave

Why?? Yeah sometimes at a wing race I have trouble keeping track of anything but the top three but rarely is it a issue NW or any other class. It's a waist of money and if the fan can't follow it. Maybe another sport is in order. Also the announcers do a pretty good job under caution and if you can't hear them. Get a headset and a little watch radio and tune to 95.5fm

Chuck, Really, I think it's a waist over more restrooms (Pits) and some other things but who says the transition is totally over?

P.S. The only thing Id want it for is to post qualifying times and I think that Woo/NST type billboard does a ton better than just a car number and lap counter.

Just a poorboy, one fan thought the ticket was to much now. $$$ Someone has to pay for the extras! It is fun watching the board, but It takes away from watching the close racing! New Mexico, has one in the center of their infield. Like a Nascar trailer. It does take away from you watching the racing. As one watching it on a lap top!
