Daleville, Indiana Driver Aaron Pierce picked up the win in the USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW at Anderson Speedway on September 21. The feature race starting inversion put Pierce on the pole. He took advantage and jumped to the lead in turn one.

Fast qualifier Chris Neunschwander started on the outside of row two and battled through Brian Olson and Joe Swanson to assume the runner-up spot. On lap 18, Swanson’s night came to an end when he and Don Hamilton got together exiting turn four. Olson would go on to finish 3rd in his first Sprint Car Challenge Series event.

On the restart, Neunschwander harried Pierce for the next ten laps when Pierce finally opened some breathing room for the run to the finish.

Through out the 50-lap event Brian Gerster, Tony Hunt and Tyler Roahrig ran within inches of each other while battling for the fourth spot. Gerster eventually prevailed with Hunt rounding out the top five.

Pierce’s win allowed him to jump past Tony Hunt in the season point battle. Pierce heads to the final 2013 race with a mere 28 point advantage over Hunt

The Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW will crown its inaugural Champion at Anderson Speedway on Saturday October 5. The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 50 will be a part of the UAW presents the American Cancer Society Making Stride to End Breast Cancer “Paint the Night Pink” Championship Event.

How many times has Tyler Roahrig been in a sprint car? Bet there arnt a lot of people left on this board that can remember his uncle Dave winning the last USAC sprint car race with the motor behind him! As a little kid going to watch the tri state series there was not one person better then Dave Roahrig

I thought Roahrig won the FIRST USAC feature in an RE sprint car? Maybe I don't remember too well, but I was there at Tri-county (Queen City) Speedway.
