The current cost of diabetes treatment in the USA is 450 Billion Annually with 200,000 amputations.
I was watching Mike Huckabee on Fox Business News and he said that treatment will be a way of
life for years and years to come. Just keep spending the 450 Billion. The government should give
5 billion to anyone that can reduce significantly the cost.

It is a great cause, because so many people suffer from diabetes. And Don really knows what he's talking about on this subject, because in a sad twist to this story, he had to have his brain amputated many years ago.

This is an off topic post not a spam and the testimonial is real. If you had a loved
one with the problem you would feel some sympathy for these people and try and
help instead of posting this stuff. If this was your mother or father you would feel
a lot different. You think if this wasn't real I wont post it. $454 Billion annually
spent on Diabetis treatment. I am just trying to help the people hurting. Read
again what this person had and put yourself in his place. you might even ask
for help. When I Was kid I had polio spent 10 years in the hospital and I wish
there were people that could of helped me!

Don, I'm just making fun of you because you have hardly ever made a post here on IOW, that wasn't self-serving, in some way. One that wasn't some kind of spam. This is no exception.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles, is a large, large provider of help and research for the prevention and awareness of diabetes, they provide millions in research money, and help for victims, it just doesn't get the media news that it deserves, I have it, not that advanced, but still controlled with a light medication, and diet, but also have a niece with a 2yr old, that will probably have to take insulin the rest of his life, and also had a friend that finally lost his life to it, a toe and a foot at a time, it is real, and lots of people have it, and don't even know it, till it's probably too late, so don't take it lightly.
