Starting tomorrow night, open-wheel racing takes hold of Central Illinois as the Lucas Oil POWRi Midgets and Speedway Motors 600cc Micro Sprints invade the Logan County Fairgrounds as they tackle the 1/4 mile Lincoln Speedway. Saturday afternoon, the stars and cars of the USAC Traxxas Silver Crown Series take to the Springfield Mile for the Tony Bettenhausen 100. Then, on Saturday night, the Lucas Oil POWRi Midgets and Speedway Motors 600cc Micro Sprints come to Macon Speedway to join the Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, Pro Hornets, and Amateur Hornets. Also, on Sunday night, the non-wing sprints and USAC Ignite Midgets join the UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Pro Crate Late Models at Vermilion County Speedway.
