BOSS Headed for Hoosier State Showdown
With the season now in full swing, the cars and stars of the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series are geared up for event #4 of the 2013 season at the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana. The BOSS series will bring the best traditional sprint drivers from the Buckeye state (and surrounding states) in to battle the always tough Lawrenceburg regulars who will be determined to defend their home turf.
Once again this season, promoter Dave Rudisell has teamed up with BOSS to offer the "best of both" purses for Saturday night's event. The event will pay $1,500 to the winner with $250 to start the main event and as always, $100 tow money to teams who attempt to compete but fail to start the main event. Teams will also be competing for heat race money which will see the top 3 finishers in each heat earn $50, $30, and $20 respectively. Heat race sponsors for this event will be Underground Professionals Inc of Ashland, Ohio, Indy Race Parts of Indianapolis, and Kistler Racing Engines of Fremont, Ohio.
A staple of the BOSS series is also the highly coveted bonus awards. The night's Hard Charger in the main event will earn an extra $50 courtesy of Horne Performance Motorsports. The "Hard Luck" driver of the night will earn an extra $50 courtesy of Marshall Motorsports / Buckeye Machine and Fabrication. Drivers competing with a steel or cast iron engine block will also be eligible for the "steel block" award to the highest finisher with the steel engine which also nets a $50 bonus.
Tire manufacturers are also involved in the bonus program as BOSS is an open tire sprint car series. Hoosier Tire Midwest will be giving a free tire to the highest feature finisher on all 4 Hoosier tires. Lias Tire American Racer will be rewarding their highest finisher with a $100 gift certificate toward the purchase of American Racer products.
For drivers competing, all cars must have mufflers per Lawrenceburg Speedway rules. Transponders will be provided at the track. Gates will open at 4 pm and pill draw will close at 5:30.
