ILSS President Roger Sollenberger has secured a date at the famous LaSalle Speedway on Fri. night June 28th as a support class with the 800 horse powered World of Outlaw Sprint Cars. Roger made the trip to LaSalle on Sat. to meet with promoter Tony Izzo Jr as the evenings racing program was canceled due to rain. The date with the WOO was discussed and a phone call today from Larry Hiller with the WOO Series confirmed the date. This will be the biggest night of racing for the ILSS cars and stars in the history of the series. ILSS stock engine rules will apply. No quick change rear end cars will be eligable for this race. The race will be guaranteed $100 per car and will be a regular point night for the ILSS cars. The HOOSIER SP2 and SP3 RR tire rule will still be effect for the night. Any tire on the other 3 corners of the car is allowed. Roger will be hitting the bushes between now and June 28th to get XTRA $$$$ for this big race. With the meeting on Sat. with LaSalle promoter Tony Izzo Jr, another race may also be added to the ILSS schedule. Keep checking the website for more info in the coming weeks on this big night of racing. With Peoria Speedway planning on reopening by the end of June and the ILSS scheduled for Sat. June 29th, this will be a 2 night weekend of racing. Both nights will we ran with wings. Dont forget on Sat. June 22nd is the ILSS/AMSA Indiana Challenge at the US 24 Speedway in Logansport IN.

Sounds like a neat race to me. It's a 250 mile drive from Indy and a 350 mile drive for us. We would have to take off all day Friday to get there in time to race and drive like hell to get back for the Sat race at Brownstown. But could be done. It would give one a perspective on what the Outlaws go through for the whole year. Anybody interested in trailering over there?

How about some more info on the track?

ive never been there but from what ive hear its similar to peoria. 1/4 mile fast with some banking should be a great fast night. the more cars we can get the better the purse

It appears a lot like Peoria, maybe slightly wider around the turns. Looks like it's going to be a blast out there

Ran there last year during summer nationals. It drives a little bigger than Peoria. Great facility.

WOO should put on a barn burner there too. Here is video of the 410's there. They really haul the mail around that place!
