I called the guy who owns Charlestown Speedway this morning. He is very interested in making a go at the track with open wheel racers, and has more or less put the program it in Terry's hands to run for him.
He is also looking for a good turn out of cars to keep the track open, It seems he likes to make MONEY..so he can eat and things like that. He owns a heavy equipment business and has the equipment and know how to make one hell of a race track for our kind of race cars, but like he said it's just too much work to get a dirt track in shape if he can't get a good turn out of cars and fans.

From looking at the track the guys who run Little Salem should be geared just about right to start off with.
dad we will be there . we tested there and the gear was close. tighter flatter turns straights maybe a pinch longer but all in all pretty close. we will haveat least 1 car and maybe having an experimental driver, for the second. trying to get financials together. lol but the 1 for sure.

We take US 62 out of jeffersonville In. towards Charlestown In, make a left at State road 3 (STOP LIGHT WHERE 4 LANE RD TURNS into A 2 LANES and BIG SIGN SAYS "WELCOME TO CHARLESTOWN") stay on State rd 3 all the way through town, about 1/2 mile out of town you will see sign on your left. They do enforce their speed limits in Charlestown.
Their facebook shows only motor cross track, but it also shows the gigantic front straight grand stand. It started out dirt, went to asphalt, went vacant, went to motor X and now back full circle to dirt. It is A very nice track. WWO ran their in the 80"s.
