They run a very efficient program. This past Sunday night they were finished with the sprint car A main right at 9:00 PM. That was with 28 car in attendance so I would say that most of the time they are finished by 10:00 PM barring any unforseen circumstances.

Can anyone tell me what time Gates Open, Hot laps, and Racing start at Kokomo Sunday of the 500? I know things are pushed back to allow fans time for both events! I would like to attend part of the race at IMS and race Kokomo Sunday just need to know it time will allow! Thanks!

My guess would be pits open at 4, hot laps at 6:45 and heat racing at 7:45.

The normal show we hotlap/group qualify sprints at 545, then the street stock hotlaps, then thunder car hotlaps. then sprint heats and so on. It will be pushed back 1 hr to give people time to get from indy to kokomo. Sprint cars will put heat in there motors at approx 640 followed by sprint car hot laps/group qualifying at 645, modified hotlaps, street stock hot laps, then thunder car. Then sprint heats will run first so on down the line. We run a very efficient paced show since we do run on a Sun nights.
for more info on the events you can visit their website at www.kokomospeedway.net or like them on facebook

Winchester is running this weekend with the Must See Racing winged sprints & supermodifieds. They don't race next weekend when Kokomo starts an hour later than normal due to the Indianapolis 500.
