Saturday night I got knocked out of the WAR nonwing series feature at Lebanon Midway Speedway in MO...

I watched the last 15 laps from the pits and saw a plain blue #27 drive very smart and smooth and pick up the win...then I found out that the winning driver was 72 year old Bob Thoman.... that got me to wondering..

Does anybody on here know who has the record of being the oldest driver to park a sprinter in victory lane, and how old he was when it happened? I know a year or 2 ago I saw an article about another 70 something winning a race somewhere but I can't remember any of the details/

I think this might be who you are thinking of.

From July 12th 2012.

STRONGSTOWN, Pa. -- The Flying Cowboy, Jim Kennedy of Everett showed the young guns he still has what it takes to win races, as the 77-year old picked up his career first Precise Racing Products Racesaver 305 Friday night at Dog Hollow Speedway in the Frank Mayak Memorial.

I believe I took this one in 2010 at Williams Grove.

How old were Benny Rapp or Hank Lower last time they won a race?
