I don't remember ever having a dry heat when I lived in Virginia. When it gets hot like that you must........ drink lots of fluids:thumb

I'm hip. Last time I was there, it was pretty miserable. Nothing dry about it, or me. I can't wait!!
Oh well, I guess it's still better than a rainy forecast.

I'm making the trip. I agree no rain is most important, but that's some heat. Guess I will have to drink more fluids than normal.

The Richmond/James River area is always steaming hot. Combination of the geography, the normal humidity and it's a city with lots of pavement.
That being said, a fcst of 97/98 for highs on Fri/Sat is not that bad. It was well over a 100 a few weeks ago.
But, don't let the 20% chance of wet stuff fool you. The area is also noted for late afternoon thunderstorms that just seem to pop up and then dump like crazy.
They usually try to get the show in though. Two years ago the Friday night show was delayed by a monsoon and I figured they'd pull the plug. But, they held out and the crowd that stayed got to see a great sprint race that Brian Tyler won.
Hope everyone enjoys their stay in the Old Dominion.
BTW, still no promotion for the race in this area.
