Ken Schrader gets behind the wheel of a sprint car for the first time in who knows how long this weekend at Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prairie Texas.

Hopefully this is more of a regular thing next year.

IIRC, he did not do worth a hoot on the first day, so he suddenly had a "prior commitment" and disappeared.

I am aware he ran The Chili Bowl in 2004 however my post said nothing about the last time he ran a midget.

I don't believe he has been in a sprint since 1990. He was really bothered by Rich Vogler's death and gave up playing in sprint cars at that time. I will stop by his shop next week after he gets back from Texas and ask him.
