Gastonia, NC – September 28, 2012 - Rick Goss from Charlotte, NC captured his second www.RockAuto.com USCS 600 main event win of the 2012 season on Friday night at Carolina Speedway. Both of his wins came at the track. Goss who won the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat race started outside of the front row after drawing a zero in the K&N Filters Pole Award drawing. He then raced past K&N Filters Pole Position starter Darren Hasty of Indian Trail, North Carolina and streaked to nearly a half straightaway at the end of the 15-lap contest at the 4/10 mile clay oval. Hasty followed him to the www.rockauto USCS victory lane in the runner-up position. Coby Adams from Mooresville, North Carolina who started fifth finished in the K&N Filters Podium Award third place. Young gun Mac Bradford from Statesville, North Carolina followed Adams in fourth place and Justin Lineman from Lexington, North Carolina made it an all North Carolina top five.

Lineman’s team-mate Matt McCullough from Powder Springs, Georgia led the next group in sixth place. The defending series Champion and thirteen time 2012 USCS feature winner, Bobby Zaiontz from Columbus, Mississippi finished seventh on this night. Two-time 2012 www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series feature winner, Mike Magic from Winder, Georgia followed in eighth place. Ron Bishop from Savannah, Georgia finished in the ninth position and Sean Hosey from Clarksville, Tennessee Georgia out the top ten in the twenty car field.

Rick Goss won the Engler Machine and tool First Heat and Goss got the victory in the Schoenfeld Headers Second Heat. Bobby Zaontz kicked of the action with a win in the Hoosier Speed Dash.
