Its gonna be a long day/night at eldora. Looks like they are running everything today

That's good news and bad news for those who are going to attend the World Hundred.

Judging from the experiences garnered from 25 years of attending the World we would reckon the good news is that generally when they run the whole deal on Saturday there is significantly less insobriety in the grandstands. The imbibing boys & girls will be in the grandstands all afternoon as opposed to getting oiled up out in the campgrounds and parking lots.

Since Ohio law doesn't allow carry-in alcohol that situation makes it somewhat more difficult to obtain the amount of adult beverages needed to attain critical mass of intoxication.

We have never seen as large of a concentration of seriously hammered people as we've seen at the World Hundred, And, 'bout 10% of those who are 3 sheets to the wind are lookin' for trouble.

The bad news is, generally the track wears out well prior to the finish of the 100 lap A-main in the event the whole program is run in one day.

One other bit of good news is that there is no support classes. What you see is what ya' came to see.
