Anyone know if there is a raindate for DuQuoin, and if so what it is?

Do not hold your breath waiting to get an answer from USAC, doubt that either of us are on their Christmas card list anymore.

It was rained out a few years ago and they didn't make it up then. I doubt you will see a make up date if they get rained out. This late in the season it seems no one makes anything up. JMO.

I'm still waiting for the makeup of the 2010 Tony Bettenhausen 100. When you're a series that USAC has treated like a red headed step child at a family reunion why would you think they would all of a sudden care about it to list a rain date?

It's up to Track Enterprises to reschedule it but they haven't made up a mile race in quite a few years now. It could be a blessing for it to just get rained out this year.

I cannot wait for the Ted Horn 100 under the lights on the beautiful magic mile! Dave Darland is back...should be a good show. WeatherUnderground forecast shows the bulk of the rain having moved out by Sunday afternoon. Sure hope we can get it in!

If I'm not mistaken, the first Champ Car night race at DuQuoin was a make-up of a rainout.

Yes, it was; in 2003. Best race they have ever run!

Looks now like the rain might clear out in time. If they don't pack it to hard it could be awesome. The question is, will Track Enterprises allow a cushion or will they try their best to get rid of it?

I hope it rains like crazy leading up and then stops in time for them to get it in. Could leave a big cushion and get them up on the wall. There were hints of that last year the first 25 laps or so.

There would be nothing more thilling than seeing the big cars on the wall!!!

Also, I read an article in the Southern Illinoisian that stated that they added 300 yards of dirt which amounted to 6" of added banking in the corners!

Wet track + Added Banking + Champ Cars =
