107 degrees, no problem bring in the Power I Midgets on the high banks of U S 36 Raceway to beat the heat.
Again Mike Franks owner of U S 36 Raceway crafts a great race track for the Power I Midgets to race on Sunday night before a smaller than deserved crowd for the type of racing the racers put on for them.
Thru the heat races and the A-Main the Power I guy's showed what midget racing is and how exciting it can be. These races reminded me of the racing you used to see at the high banks of Belleville, some times 3 or 4 wide with racing for all position on the track.
Once again 36 raceway hosts one of the best races of 2012, you watch the video, tell me if I am wrong. Enjoy.
The races last night were great. As I was driving away, I still can not understand why midget racing is not more popular. They are by far my most favorite class of cars to watch. It was good to see Kyle and Rico battle for the lead through the lap cars.
