Im having trouble with my 08 r1 motor it's getting fuel and turns over and everything seems to be working but has no spark Anyone have any answers

This isn't going to sound very scientific, but we have had the same problem. We were told to wiggle the cam timing sensor (located on cylinder head) before starting for the first time that day, and sure enough, has worked everytime since, and starts right up the rest of the night. Take a close look at the wiring connecting the sensor, apparently its easily damaged on the bike in a wreck, make sure you don't have any nicks or breaks. Greg

Is it on the valve cover or actually on the head

Cam sensor connection sounds like a likely suspect.

On top of the head, to the front of the spark plugs. The sensor attaches into the head with a set screw, with several wires into the AIS harness if I remember right - if you don't have blockoff plates for the AIS might be hard to notice - look under the vent lines.
