Pushing 1 in the morning and it is like this every Sunday before Memorial day, (can't sleep). Reason being is I just start thinking of all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Usually on Monday I will dig out some old Air Force pics and remember the days of my service. Just regular guys that love this country and would die for it. I vividly remember myself and three of those old buddies FINALLY getting to go to the one and only ASCOT while on temporary duty at March AFB.

I just hope all those out there in I.O.W. country just take a second to pay homage to those that did give the ultimate sacrifice, so we could be free and enjoy the things we love to do.

We think about you every day, we also thank you and your brothers and sisters that have sacrificed everything to keep us safe. I have almost lost all hope for any of the clowns that have ran this country into the ground but we will never forget you or the great men and woman that protect us. Thank You :respect:

I spent the better part of three hours yesterday morning placing American Flags on graves of fallen veterans at a cemetary close to the homestead here.

It was a beautiful peaceful breezy morning all by myself with a schematic of where to go. My mind day dreamed of the deceased as I was at each marker, wondering about their stories and loved ones left behind. In the end it turned to be a very emotional experience.

I am looking forward to next year where I can pay homage in that manner.

Thanks to all the VETS! :applaud:
