Slammin Sammy Swindell leads "The King" Steve Kinser by only 4 points heading into this weekend's WoO races at Orange County and Hagerstown! These guys are awesome! Btw, Schatz is only 14 back in 3rd. Just text one of our Indiana boys on the trail, Bill Rose, and he is on his way to New York now, for tomorrow's race. Good luck Bill!

Can't wait for "The Burg" on Memorial Day!

Ya its awesome these guys still have it after all these years and you have to give a shout out to Bill Rose for following his dreams and doing what he enjoys to do on a shoe string budget battling the high dollar cars of the WoO every race

It sure won't hurt WoO attendance this year with these two running well and up front. After all these years they are still the two biggest names in sprint car racing and still two of the best. I am thinking of seeing the Outlaws run at L'Burg next weekend. Anybody seen them there before and how was it? I figure they'd fly pretty well there.

The best rivalry in the history of AUTO RACING not just sprint car racing and here they are in the late 50's going at it like they did when they were in there late 20's. The best part is they have incredible respect for each other but dont like each other at all. They hate losing to the other and it even shows in heat races when they race each other like it is the feature and worth 100 grand. I personally think it will be real interesting to see if the outlaws can survive without either of them....... if it ever happens! They may race forever.

Very true and I wonder how much each has made the other a better racer, in terms of competitive fire.

To put it another way, had one already retired, how much longer and how much more competitive would the other had been?

The only thing missing is "The Wolf,"then we would have the Big 3 again! Maybe the "Wild Child" will slip down to "The Burg"! He is another over 50 sensation!

The Outlaws have done alright the last few years with Sammy driving a very sporadic schedule for quite a while. This is the first year he'll be running all the races in a long time. Having him around piques my interest in the Outlaws for sure. It will be up to the Outlaws to properly market their product and have it be affordable for racers to follow them for the organization to succeed post Steve and Sammy. The heart of the Outlaws will be cut out for a lot of older fans of them, however, since many of us have watched Steve and Sammy for 40 years like myself. When they hang up their helmets it will truly be the end of an era and rivalry that will never be matched for quality and longevity.

They will be missed for sure, but the World of Outlaws will be just fine.

I dissagree, Sammy & Steve ARE the World of Outlaws. Both have a desire to race like no others Ive ever seen. Like the other guy said, they run a heat race like its a feature.

I am NOT paying $30 to go to a "Outlaw" show if Sammy or Steve isn't gonna be there.

It cost too much now
