Mansfield Ohio Track up for sheriff's sale!

The Mansfield Motorsports Speedway is going up for Sheriff's auction on April 27th. I have grown up in the backyard of this track and still live right next to it. It was a great place back when it was dirt. They did a ton of beautiful work to it over the past 10 years including all new grandstands and press boxes, several really nice tech buildings and a really nice concession area. The bidding starts at roughly $262,000. I can only hope someone picks this up and turns it back to dirt!! You can google Richland County Sheriff's sales and it is under 400 Crall Rd & 1721 Olivesburg Rd.

I have been to a couple of shows since they did the renovation. Sad to see a really nice facility like this just sit there without having racing. I also hope that someone can buy the facility and re-open it for auto racing. I didn't ever see a show on the dirt track so I can't comment on that.

Dirt or pavement, I hope someone can make a go of it. I've seen some great racing there in it's pavement years. I've seen some real sad times too.
