We know it is a busy time for everyone, but we wanted to touch base with everyone on the Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget Series.

Rules

We have finalized the rules for inaugural 2012 season with the class. The only changes made from the second draft is we have two race format options we will possibly use to establish heat races with one involving single car qualifying and the other using a pill draw. We have also established a trophy dash that will give the bottom 2-3 cars in each heat some additional seat time and experience. The winner of the Trophy Dash will receive a trophy at the conclusion of the dash on the front stretch and have trophy dash feature winner photos taken.

Full class rules can be found on our website – www.MontpelierMotorSpeedway.com

Schedule
This is the tentative plan for the 10 races at speedway that will complete the 2012 points season for the track championship:

April 7
April 28
May 12
May 26
June 30
July 28
August 4
August 18
September 1
September 15

One of the Saturday dates is back to back with the Bob Darland Memorial at the Kokomo Speedway on Sunday giving midget racers and fans back to back nights in central Indiana.

If we see a conflict we can avoid, a date may shift to not run against other shows. A full points fund will be paid for the top 10 drivers. An additional non-points race may be scheduled in October at one of our fall specials.

Need Help For Circle Track Expo
We will have a booth at the Circle Track Expo held at Indiana State Fairgrounds on Saturday, January 28. We are looking to promote the track along with the new Midget class we have formed. We would like to display at least one race midget that appears race ready in our booth. If you have a midget that looks race ready and would be willing to display it in our booth, please contact us either through PM or email bemcevoy@yahoo.com

Souvenir Program & Driver's Roster
We are currently working on our 2012 Souvenir Program, and we need to reconnect fans with midget and midget drivers. If you would like to be included in the Driver’s Roster, please PM or email bemcevoy@yahoo.com the following:

Car Number – Name – Hometown - Car Owner Name – Engine Builder – Chassis Builder

Fees

Here are the costs for running at the Montpelier Motor Speedway:

General Admission - $10

Kids (12 and Under) – Free

Pit Pass - $25

Entry Fee – None

Competitor’s License - $20 Per Entire Season – A one time fee that is required for the Driver Only. 100% of the proceeds from the competitor’s license go towards the Championship Points Fund. This is the only additional requirement beyond the purchase of your pit passes for each show.

Thanks everyone for your support. We hope to see you out at the speedway during the 2012 season. As always, if you have any questions or comments feel free to PM or email me.

Well midget racers, there is the track that is supporting you. Now after all this time ,and all the complaining, you have a series. Now do the right thing and support the series and the track.

SETracing is planning on bringing some of our cars when our IRS schedule allows us to. Can't wait to put some hoosiers on and get dirty in the dirt. Looking forward to running with the series and thank you for making this happen .

Awesome! 10 bucks to see midgets. Can't beat that! Thanks to the Montpelier Motor Speedway.

With some 250 midget entries at the Chili Bowl...there's definitely cars out there!
