In the article it mentions a 5/8 mile high bank oval. Does this mean that the existing track will be torn up and rebuilt?
Just curious. There are probably still several matters related to this project to be sorted out. :confused: |

Lets just hope this does not turn into another X-Plex deal. I hate to be negative on these kind of plans but it just seems like they don't come through very often. JMO.

IIRC, the track is already .555, so I think moving the back stretch out a few feet would get it to .625. I guess we'll see.

They could just be rounding up??
Its kinda like how Putnamville is listed as a 5/16 as opposed to a 1/3...

I would love to see a covered grandstand similar to what they had in the glory days of the track. There are many daytime races I would love to attend, but I am sun sensitive and can't. Sherman Armstrong rebuilt the grandstand and included a cover, but a tornado in 1981 destroyed it not long after it was completed and it was never replaced.
