Another brand of axle would be in order.

I just hope all the guys that show up at the Oct race have had the means and the time to put fresh components on the high stress areas of their cars...axles, spindles, wheel bearings & centers, torsion stops, etc.

Isn't it kinda amazing that JoJos broken axle at a super high speed joint like Bristol resulted in a minor spin while Tim McCreadies broken axle at the chili bowl caused so much destruction to him and the car...

I hope for everybody's sake that people put all new stuff on their car for this deal. I really hope it goes well, but I can't imagine how you can see anything coming off the corner with the amount of bank, and the wings like they are. Hope nobody gets hurt.

That was really a double edge sword, the wing probably caused the axle to break, too much downforce, but also probably saved his butt, by keeping it all down on the pavement. Who knows what that axle had been thru, prior to this break. JMHO! Bob!

when the stock cars ran there on dirt a few years ago I know the wheels were braking like crazy.

When the World of outlaws ran there the first time everybody grabbed some tin snips out of the toolbox after the 1st hotlap session and cut away the lower leading edge corner on the right sideboard...went about 1 foot up and back from that front bottom corner and cut across at a 45 degree angle because nobody could see to the outside/above them with the banking. I would imagine the Must See guys are going to have to do the same thing...unless running straight thru the corners instead of sideways neutralizes any visibility issues.
