Was looking around in my garage today and found 8 issues of open wheel magazine from late 91 to early 92 and a 94 jr johnson special of circle track. It is crazy looking back to these days. Which then I was just 6 years old. Being younger seeing these and bringing back memories was good. But I was wondering if there are people that collect these things to keep looking at them through time. I have sat around most the night reading through them. But was just seeing if there was interest in them. I would let someone else read back in these and enjoy them.

Thanks guys..

I enjoy reading my "Back Issues" not just Open Wheel but many others, I have some as old as 1968. What I like most is the articles that used to show you how to build things or improve power output. Not like today's magazines where as I used to buy them for .50 cents & minimum wage was about $3. Now magazines are $5.99 & minimum wage is around $7 an hour. Plus it's buy this buy that where we used to go to the junkyard & scavenge for what we wanted. I still do.

Well thats good news.. Thanks guys. I think I will just keep them on my coffee table and read them here and there. Just from these issues to now it is funny looking at the suits, the non-down tube cars, the hair do's, the setups, and so on. I have enjoyed them and think I will just keep them to enjoy. If anyone has missed out on early 90's sprint cars let me know. I will share these with you.. They are informative but def put a smile on your face..

I don't have all of them but most. My problem is trying to keep the wife from throwing them away.

I have most of them. The articles were always first rate. Last year I took a few of them out and read them. One article about Cliff Griffith was very interesting. Up until then Cliff Griffith was just a name on old box scores.

In the early 1990s Peterson Publications bought the magazine. Open Wheel started going downhill after that and then it was gone.

I have about 95percent of the issues. I swap out 10 to 15 issues every 3 months or so in a certain room where a shower, sink and toilet are located. Always take time to read them when........ well............. you get the picture.

Thankfully for all of us that you didn't post the picture.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
