Results are in the Results section here at IOW.

Full story can found at www.waynesfieldracewaypark.com

Also, I would like to personally apologize for the late submission of our results, as I had to tend to family issues.

Thank you,
Gerry Keysor

Andrew, nothing against you, but your statement above is not needed. Yes, the show did run late at WRP, shoot, I didn’t get home till almost 3am, but they got it in. With the storm that hit the track just before the races were to begin, a lot of tracks could have threw in the towel but Waynesfield stuck it out and the track was fast. As for the results being posted a little late, Gerry recently had a couple of deaths in his family this past week and it has been a hard week for him. Gerry does an awesome job and goes above and beyond what is asked of him at the track. Like I said, nothing against you Andrew, just that this has been a very tough week for Gerry.

Just wish it wasn’t Monday, lol man I am tired from all the racing action this past weekend haha.

J&T: Your explanation was worded a lot nicer than what I would have used to tell Mr. Quinn.......

Anyone with a brain could see that it was going to be a late night.....6 classes, qualifying the sprints and the strong possibility of rain.

If you don't like late nights at the track you should have done what we did and stayed home.

I give WRP credit for getting it all in.....looking at the radar on Saturday I didn't think they had a chance of completing everything.

ran six classes, qualified 32 sprint cars for the first time, and did track prep before the mains and didn't get started till I believe after 7 with hot laps with all this said I'd say the program went pretty well and wasn't drug out. The storm set everything back and had they cancelled people would be on here riping them for that it's a dam if you do dam if you don't. I think they deserve a "THAT A BOY"!!!

Sorry to hear of deaths in the family.

Rogue just posted this in another thread and he summed it up better than I can. Much like Rogue,I drove over from Indy to watch the Jack Hewitt Classic. I didnt mind the rain setback, but I came to watch sprint cars,as I am sure much of the crowd did as well. Just my opinion!

Out here in Indiana, they always run the sprints first, as that is most popular, then modifieds, then street stock classes. That way, people with kids, or people that don't want to stay too late can leave after the sprints and/or modifieds if they choose to. Personally I like modifieds. However, I had a three hour drive, it was already midnight, so I left after the sprints. Here's what irked me. The fact that I had to sit through a bunch of 4-cylinder stocks before the sprints, and had I stayed to watch the modifieds, I would have had to watch the street stocks as well. Had I been a half-hour from home, I would have had no problem staying to watch the little guys run. However, this being a special 3,000 to win race in honor of Jack Hewitt, a legend, I decided to make the 160 mile trip out to your facility, and had to sit through compacts, and then had to miss the modifieds in order to just be home by 3 in the morning. Not trying to be a jerk, just a little constructive criticism for the next time you have a big show that will draw fans from larger distances.

If you go to the track to only watch sprints I recommend not attending an event that has 6 classes on their schedule.

Did I say I only went to watch sprints? I said I like modified as well, and I don't mind mini-sprints either. What I said was that I mainly went for the Hewitt, It was a special event, and it drew fans from Indianapolis. When I go to a local show closer to home I always stay and watch everything. However, I drove 160 miles for the Hewitt, not for a regular show, and when running a big race like this, your going to want to please the fans driving a long distance for the show, that aren't your normal clientele. I heard a lot of grumbling in the crowd about all of this, and its a safe bet that some of them will not be back next year. Like I said constructive criticism, I'm not trying to be a jerk, just trying to make a few suggestions that will keep fans coming a long way for the Hewitt.

Sorry....was not responding to you. My post was directed to A. Quinn who said he comes to the track to watch sprints.
