Anyone go to Paragon?

Heard Friday at Bloomington that Kevin Briscoe's son Chase was going to run the car at Paragon.
Did he? How did he do? If he does as well in the full sprint as he did in the Mini Sprint, he will get up to speed pretty quickly! If dad and gramps can stand the pressure!:wink I think a good name for a young Risky Brisky, whould be "Frisky Brisky" ! |

He looked good. I can't say that I watched each lap, but to the casual observer he looked as if he had done it many times before.
Kind of like the old saying that goes with being a rookie NFL lineman or an official: If they don't notice you, it was probably a good night. Walking by their pits once early in the night I heard Kevin say that he didn't think the throttle was sticking, so I am guessing Chase felt that the throttle wasn't as smooth as he would of liked. It was a pretty cool deal. |

Thanks for the comments. Chase ran 3rd in his heat and 10th in the feature. I was really proud of him for his first time. Grampa said he looked alot better than my first time lol. In his heat he led the first 2 laps i believe before over driving turn 4 and letting Sciscoe bye. After that he started hitting the bottom right and ran a strong race. He and Chase Stocton battled hard for second spot the rest of the race. My Chase got into Stocton on the backstretch and scared me to death. I apologise to Chase S. for that. But they battled to the end with Chase getting 3rd. In the feature Chase started 8th and I told him to run the bottom the whole race. But he was a little impatient and tried the top a few to many times. He was faster than the car front of him and instead of waiting for them to make a mistake he tried the top and lost 2 spots. But I guess going for it is better than not Im glad he wasnt satisfied with 8th. I also would like to put a shout out to Caleb Armstrong and Nick Bilbee that I also thought did outstanding jobs for their first times. Good night of racing at the Paragon Speedway.
If everthing goes right this week Chase and I both will be competing at Bloomington Speedway this friday night.:thumb |

Chase you did a great job on Saturday Night. You will be a great addition to our sport. Kevin (& your wife) sure did raise a good kid with lots of spirit and spunk.
He is a pleasure to see at the races. It will be great to see the both of you on the track at Bloomington. Tony & Debbie Reed |

I thought Chase did great! Goinig to be good to watch him follow in Kevin's foot steps.
I was also glad to see Tony Walker win the first Stock feature. I know it was hard on him and his family being this was the first race since the loss of his grandfather, Steve Bowlen. Steve raced for more than 30 years and 3 of of grandchildren race. It must have meant alot to Tony and his family so congratulations on the win!!::checkered: |
