A little constructive criticism can go a long way sometimes and this site is one of the best places for it. I actually think positive changes have been made because of the fans' voices being heard more publicly on this site. Before this became popular there wasn't much of a forum for fans to vent their displeasure, other than an occasional letter to SpeedSport that might get printed. I don't believe in being negative all the time but there is a place for it. I know some people on here abuse that priveledge and that's too bad but I don't think they should be censored because sometimes their points are valid. You should only be critical if the situation really deserves it, otherwise be positive and try to help promote the sport we all love. The weather looks good for Terre Haute tomorrow so let's pack the grandstand and have a great time.

A forum is a place for discussion and debate. If those who have a pet peeve, some sort of criticism regarding an event or situation, or simply a disagreement with a position on here are censored then, it no longer is a forum but, a web-site for like-minded cheerleaders. How boring is that????

Sorry but I disagree. There needs to be a line. Censorship is a "bad" word for it. But the DELETE button needs to be used around here much more often.

I work in the newspaper business. If I wrote some of the things in there that are posted in here I would get sued. I've been told "this" is the press nowadays. Well by golly, then it's time someone step up and become responsible for what is said here.

Please... tell me what a crappy job I do running this site. I've always liked brutal honesty.

Constructive criticism never hurt anyone.

The non-fowl person has a point. Free speech as we know it is not a given here. It does not apply. Mr. Gardner administers this board as he sees fit. For a illiterate country boy he does all right.

Mr. Gardner does a great job running the site. No problem here. Without SpeedSport, this is where I get most of my info. Last I checked dicussions included good and bad thats all. Most of us know when someone is talking out of their you know what and isn't worth listening to. I think promoters and officials from the oranizations should use this site much more often to promote their shows and explain their side of the situation when things go wrong. That might shut up some of the critics when they hear the other side of the story from the official people. There is a huge difference between constructive criticism and ignorant rants.

I didn't say you did a crappy job. This message board is far above ANY auto racing message board I've seen and my growing dislike for message boards has more to do with other sites than this one.

There is a difference between constructive criticism and libel and I just wish the same rules that applied to the rest of the "press" applied to message board operators and their posters.

Making constructive criticism when it regards to message boards is sort of like peeing into the wind. When will I learn.

I agree, I really don't have any use for the totally possitive posters any more than the totally negative.

In the end it doesn't matter much on here from one poster. ts if your going to the track yourself and if people go to the track because of what you tell them.

If buisness slumps because its a majority view or a lot of compllaints. I do see it as up to the track to make the changes needed.

Example. About 2008 I attended three races at GC. two of which got so dusty you couldn't see one and two the whole night. I didn't even see Stenhouse flipping down the front straight in front of me. A lot of people mentioned it was very bad, Gave them more chances but said they weren't going to put up with it.

Im sure Jiggs and the gang knew they had a problem without the critisism, But they did make the changes needed by adding clay and the third race I went to the racing and view was fine all night.

Just when being critical, Be respectful. Look at the conditions surrounding it. Has it been 90* with no rain for weeks? Did it rain for two days before the race and its muddy ? But they still raced? thats a pat on the back from me

Have fun.

Then Censor yourself is all I can say about it. Sure some things have gotten out of hand and needed removed but its really rare and usually the two disagreeing parties come to some understanding.

This isn't a newspaper and Opinion the last time I heard can't be sued unless your intentionally lying to besmirch someone intentionally. then its Libel and only if its reported as FACT.

Some conversations need talked through to completion Some need stopped before they go further. Thats Bills and the mods job. An more importantly the posters to be respectful of others *DIFFERING VIEWS of things*
