Let's pool our pennies, buy the place, dig up the pavement, put down some good clay, and have some fun! :-)

If it's true, it will be very nice to see Tony George in the 500 parade again! He is a visionary like his father. I just wish they could all be a big happy family!

I have to disagree. Tony George isn't a visionary. He was and is, in my opinion, Bill France's puppet. If this group buys IMS, given they choose to continue the Indy 500, they'll probably red flag it at 100 laps for a wwe wrestling match.
However, I'm sure this is just a rumor. Seems like this always comes up after the 500. When the check is cut I'll buy it!

[QUOTE=apexonephoto;229934]Glad to see you read Norris' blog. Something I read every Monday. The other one states Mari Hulman George's sisters?
I believe those are Mari Hulman's daughters not sisters that are the owners and that forced their brother Tony out of the president position of IMS.

I think it would be a shame if snakes the like of Ecclestone or NASCRUD got their hands on the speedway. I agree that Bill France played Tony Geroge with the old divide and conquer tactic. But, say what you will about Tony George and the Hulman George family, they are without a doubt dedicated to building and improving that facility. Sunday was my 31st consecutive race and I have been amazed at how each year something has been improved or made better somewhere on the grounds.

I certainly wouldn't classify Tony George as a visionary. With that being said, he probably is a visonary like his father Elmer George.

You might want to check your history.
